My Top 6 Spring Casual Shoes

Happy Friday friends!I hope you are all having a great week.  Has Spring sprung for you yet?  We are certainly experiencing the temperature roller coaster that this season brings with it.  Snow one day, sunshine and warm weather the next.  You know it's Spring when you are washing sweatshirts and shorts all in the same load of laundry!

I am excited to share with you my Top 6 casual shoes to transition us from Winter to Spring. Is anyone else excited at the thought of retiring your Winter boots for the season? I am SO ready!!  All of these shoes are under $60 and closed toe so even though you are Spring ready, your pedicured toes (or lack there of) don't have to be just yet.  LOL!!

I am absolutely loving my new black wedge tennis shoes from Payless, I was able to snag a pair before they sadly went out of business.  No worries if you didn't have a chance to grab a pair, I found pretty much the same pair over on Amazon.

I am also loving my new leopard print canvas shoes from Target and know I will be getting a lot of use out of them this Spring.

I purchased my Converse Chucks last Spring and they look as good as new!  They hold up really well and go with perfectly with both jeans and shorts.  I love how they give a pop of white to any outfit.

I am so in love with these black quilted sneakers from Target.  They are a comfortable pair of slip ons that look great with leggings.  If you want to dress up your outfit a little more than just throwing on a pair of tennis shoes, then these shoes are exactly what you need!  They also come in 4 other colors, including a muted blush, the hot spring color.  I may have to grab another pair in that color!

I fell in love with these Target taupe Ankle Booties this Winter and love that they are versatile enough for Spring.   They look adorable with any color of denim and truly dress up any look.

I have been wanting a pair of these Grand Court Adidas sneakers since they started trending last Summer, they look absolutely adorable with leggings and are super comfy.  The perfect shoe for running errands or to your kiddos sports activity.  I grabbed mine at TJMaxx or you can grab yourself a pair at DSW.  They are always having sales and your can earn $10 off your first order by subscribing to their email list!

Have an amazing weekend and a blessed Easter!

What I Wore | March 2019

Happy Thursday friends!  I hope you are all having a fabulous week.  I wanted to take a moment to recap what I wore in March, along with a few cute looks from February.  Here in Cleveland, March wasn't super snowy, however, it was super COLD!  It was hard to even think about wearing anything that didn't include fleece but I do have a few cute looks that I am excited to share with you today!  I can't wait to put away those warm fleece pieces this weekend as we are expecting seasonably warm temps.

This outfit is pretty much my dressy "Mom Uniform" when I want to look put together.  The top is the infamous Nordstrom Roll Sleeve Tunic.  I absolutely love this top, so much that I own it in FOUR different colors...cream, black, burgundy and teal.  It truly is the perfect top that you can dress up or down.  And you are in luck!!  Nordstrom Rack is now carrying this top in a wide array of colors!  I always wear it with a tank or cami underneath because it is slightly sheer.  Jeans are Old Navy skinnies in a dark blue wash, leopard booties are from Wal Mart.

Here is the same look I wore here back in December.  Such a versatile top!

March was all about wearing our green!  This cardigan is one of my favorites, it's light weight and super versatile for Spring.  I purchased it from Jane and loved it so much, I have it in a few colors.  The perfect layering piece!  My distressed jeans are from Old Navy, the peep toe Booties from Kohl's.

Surprisingly, one of my favorite finds for March is this green striped mariner top from Old Navy.  Jeans are Old Navy skinnies in a dark blue wash, ankle booties are Target.

Which look is your favorite?  Comment below!
Have a fabulous Thursday friends!!

Amazon Favorites | March 2019

Hello friends!  Happy Thursday!   Today also marks the official start of Baseball season and a major sign of Spring around here.  I just couldn't be more excited (insert happy dance here) to cheer on my Indians.  Nicholas's hockey season also wrapped up yesterday, he had an absolute blast and fell completely head over heels with the support, however, I would be lying if I didn't admit that I am looking forward to a slightly less hectic schedule... at least until the Spring Soccer season takes over.  Ha!

I am so excited to share with you today my favorite Amazon purchases for March.  I absolutely love these types of posts from other bloggers and can't wait to share with you what I have been loving from Amazon this month.  This March was all about accessorizing! Here in Ohio we are all still wearing our Winter attire, however, slowly growing tired of even are most favorite pieces.  What gives new life to a tired outfit other than new accessories?  Here are a few of my favorite Amazon finds that kept me going even on the coldest days in March:

I have been on the hunt for a new everyday necklace and I absolutely love this piece.  It's the perfect statement necklace but versatile enough to wear it everyday.  It truly goes with everything and I have received so many compliments on it.

Meet my favorite new earrings!!  These Tortoise Shell Earrings are made of Resin and are super light.  They also are the perfect statement earring that will dress up any outfit.  They also come in a huge assortment of colors, I personally love this bold tortoise shell print.

I have been on the hunt lately with finding good, quality dupes of expensive trendy items.  This Daisy Rose Tote Shoulder Bag is a fabulous bag that has the same look and feel of the Louis Vuitton Neverfull.  There is also a matching wallet on Amazon that I am obsessed with and would love to add to my cart!!!  I also came across on Instagram this awesome Purse Organizer Insert hat fits this tote perfectly!  It comes in several different sizes so be sure to measure your bag before ordering.  I ordered it in the Large Size to fit this particular tote.

Living Proof Products

I used to purchase all of my professional hair products at Ulta, however, I quickly found that I can purchase the same products for a few dollars less on Amazon.  I love how Amazon also carries the trial sizes so if you want to try a product without committing to the full size with the full price that comes along with it, I highly recommend ordering the trial size.  Living Proof is quickly becoming one of my new favorite product brands, I don't think I have tried anything that I don't completely love yet.  My two favorite products are the Living Proof Dry Volume Blast and their Dry Shampoo.  A few months ago, I reviewed both the Dry Volume Blast compared to the Oribe Texturizing Spray.  Two very similar products and I am yet to name a favorite of the 2.  The Living Proof is half the price of the Oribe so that is a big win in my book!!  If you would like to watch my full review of both products, please click HERE.

What have are your Amazon favorites for March?  Comment below and share your finds!

I hope you all have an amazing weekend!!!

Friday Favorites

Hello friends!!  Happy Friday!  I am so excited to be sharing my first Friday Favorites post of 2019.  It feels great to be "back in the blogging saddle again" and to be kicking off my very first Friday Favorites post with The Suburban Style Life blog.  Per usual, I am linking up with Erika, Andrea and Narci and sharing with you all of my favorites this past week and looking forward to reading all about yours.

Today I am linking up with the awesome Erika, Narci and Andrea for another Friday Favorites.  It's a fun way to recap your favorite happenings of the week!

Give me all the vests this season!  It is such a quick and easy way to look put together even when all you want to do is wear your pajamas all day.  Old Navy is my go to place lately for vests, I love their puffer and quilted styles.

Another things I am loving this season is animal print!!!  It adds so much visual interest to an outfit and truly is all the rage right now.  I ordered the above cardigan from Amazon (score!) and the booties below can be found at your local Walmart.

If you have been reading my blog for awhile now, you all know I have been following The Bachelor franchise since the days of Alex Michel and Trista.  Every year, the show just seems to get better and better and this season so far is proving to be another masterpiece.

The Bachelor is pretty much the ONLY TV show I will make time for.  That and anything Hallmark that is :). It's that good and pretty much how little time I have to watch TV :) If you love the Bachelor, then you need to read the recaps from Sheaffer Told Me Too blog.  She is a genius and so, so funny!

What did Mom's do before Pinterest?  I truly don't want to find out.  For Nicholas's 100 Days of School project, requested a Minecraft version so to Pinterest I went.  Sure enough, there were all kinds of ideas to make his vision a reality.  I have to say, I am pretty proud on how it turned out!!

I have been trying to ease into eating healthier this week which I am sure a lot of you have as well.  We finally bid farewell to the endless amounts of dips and Christmas cookies that seemed to be a staple in our diet and now trying to replace them with healthier options.  When I am not in the mood for a salad, I will typically whip up a quick and easy stir fry without the rice.  It is also VERY similar to my Turkey Sausage and Noodles recipe.  My recent favorite consists of only four ingredients: olive oil,  turkey sausage, onions and peas.  It's super easy and low carb which I love.  It fills you up and is the perfect healthy option when you are just not feeling like a salad.

I hope you all have an amazing weekend!!!

Happy 2019 friends!!!  I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas with your friends and family and are looking forward to 2019 as much as I am.  First of all, I am thrilled to be back to blogging.  The last few months of 2018 brought a lot of changes and challenges with it and the one thing that has been on my heart through it all is how much I missed blogging and the community that comes with it.  I started this little ole' blog back in 2006 and so much has changed since then.  Not to mention I have a lot of outdated links and information on here!!  I will get to updating all of it soon, and in the meantime, excited to reconnect with all of you once again.  Why not kick off the blogging 2019 season by recapping my 9 top Instagram posts of 2018?

For me, Instagram had basically turned into my blog, it's a snapshot of our daily life and things I am currently loving.  It has also evolved into a Style and Beauty blog among anything.  As you can see, 8 of the 9 most popular Instagram posts of 2018 were of me sharing with all of you a favorite outfit.  Although most of the shopping links are from the Summer and no longer valid, I wanted to share with you all a few details about each outfit and where I purchased them from.  A few of the items I have linked are surprisingly still in stock.

Leopard Shoes - The infamous Walmart Leopard Shoes are a current staple in my closet and one of the items I receive the most comments about.  They really are as beautiful in person as they are in the photo.  Who would have thought Walmart would carry such a high quality, leopard bootie?
